[Samba] Two versions of Samba?

This problem occurs when you install a new version, but did not remove the
old one properly.
All your batches &c. will still be linked to the old version, even if you
change all settings in the startup files and smb.conf.

First of all, make sure that you de-installed the old version completely,
under Turbo Linux and RedHat there are tools to do it, Suse may have them,
too,

If you compile Samba 2.2.5 it can be that such commands as:
# smbpasswd are unknown. You will then have to enter the complete path.
