Hi Jeff,

we have had the Problem also with Samba 2.2

I don't know why, but

kernel oplocks = No

is a running work around.

Kernel oplocks are needed, if the System
is a Samba AND a NFS Server on the same
files.  So if you only use Samba it should
take no care.
