Printer support

I am trying to install a Ricoh 270 printer driver.  I have successfully
setup a laserjet 2100 using the printing2_driver.html document.

However, whenever I try and get the properties for the printer, I get a:

Function addess .....fatel exception (blah blah blah)

Then I can't do anything with any of the printers until I restart.

Anyone run into this before?

BTW, I am using Samba 2.2.1a on a RedHat 7.2 system.

I have checked the unix setup and it is working fine.
