passwd sync still

I'm not sure, but it could have something to do with your "passwd chat"
directive.  Ours looks like this:

passwd chat = *ew\spassword* %n\n *enter* %n\n *assword\schanged*

Since our samba server runs with root privelege, it doesn't ask us for
the old password when we run the passwd program.  So, the "old*password"
stuff would break it on our server.
