smbmount and accentuated chars problem

I have a problem when I map a samba share from a linux samba server on
a linux samba client.
No accentuated char is displayed when I do a ls.

I configured the "character set", the "client code page" and the
"valid chars" entries :
    character set =
ISO8859-1                                                   
    client code page = 850
    valid chars = [a lot of numbers, see validchars package]
It works when a Windows clients maps the share, and when I use
smbclient,
but not with smbmount.

Any clue?
