Grab the source
.../samba/packageing/RedHat is a template
do something like:
cd .../samba/packageing/
bin/update-pkginfo 3.0pre 1
cd RedHat
vi samba2.spec
fix the configure line as appropriate for your environment
then sh makerpms.sh

..come back after Coffee to shiny new samba rpms.

This will work with 2.2 and 3.0
