Upgrade from 2.2a3 to 2.2.0 woes [it's a BUG]

Actually, no, I did NOT build it from source - I tried that, and got some
errors that I didn't have time to track down...

I had to go back to the 2.2a3, just to get it up and running, but have
remote access to the server so can try to upgrade again once I figure out
what's up...
