Renaming files?

I got my samba network up now, but there is one problem.

When I try to rename files over a samba share
(I got a linux server serving files for a win2k machine)
I cant manage to rename the files from the remote machine (win2k)
I can manage to create files, I can manage to edit files, But I cannot manage
to rename them :/

What may be my problem?

I was also wondering if there are any good howtos on how to secure samba..
