make???

Hi,

I have just finished configuring samba-2.0.6 following the instructions in
your hmtl docs. I have run the ./configure which ran fine. The next step is
to run 'make'.
When I try to do this i get the following message:
make: not found
I am in the samba-2.0.6/source directory and have listed the contents of it
and there is no file/executable called make. the closest one to this is a
file called Makefile but this is not an executable file.
Please help....
