Can't connect to SMB on FreeBSD!

I'm running samba-2.0.7 on freebsd-4.0 .When I connect
the samba server from a win95 client,I got some error
like "can't find computer name".I've also tried IP
address,and,the same result.I saw some error like the
following in log.win95 .
"user XXX authenticate failed ..."
But I do have XXX in my smbpasswd file,and that's the
user logging onto win95.
I have the same setting under RedHat6.1,it works well.
What's wrong with it?
