Samba error: "Semaphore timeout period has expired"

Hello,

I am getting samba connection errors on the unix samba server when
I try to connect it from a windows client. Sometimes samba works
on this setup and sometimes I get this error on the client side
"Semaphore timeout period has expired"

I also noticed the error in the smb.log file:
"file_init: Information only: requested 10000 open files, 1014 are available"

Does this have anything to do with the "semaphore error" I am getting?
