Windows tcp/ip question

I am trying to get connectivity to many workstations and I'm having major
problems.
- I know I can ping the server's address.
- I know smb.conf is correct with testparm smb.conf.
- The workgroup name is set to: Home.
- my /etc/hosts has the address and name of the server with samba .

I go to my pc and there I have the following:
- The workgroup name is set to: Home.

I know that the pc doesn't know the server's address. How do I let the pc
know that? Do I have to go to each pc and add that information? I thought
the workgroup does that.

Also, should the server know each clients name? Each client does not have an
ip address.

Thanks for your help.
