Automatic script running

Hello people...ok ok just a very very simplistic question....

I have a Suse 6.0 Samba server and I want it to run a custom script lets say 
every 60 seconds or so. If it is possible that the time coincides with the 
update that samba does on the smb.conf file.

Where can I declare that from within samba? Or if it isn't possible to do it 
from samba can I do it from another way? What about crond???
