smbpasswd doesn't change passwort

This is because you have 'password program' and
'unix passwd sync' enabled but not 'passwd chat'.

The lines above are trying to change you UNIX 
passwd, not the smbpasswd entry.  Are you sure the 
smbpasswd entry is no changed?

>     passwd program = /usr/bin/passwd
