DHCP and static, configuration

Hi list;
I am running FreeBSD 3.2 and samba on a bridge server to connect two win95 
subnets.
one subnet is DHCP the other is static IP.
If i set interfaces to the two addresses that i have what will happen when 
the IP lease expires.
or am i just not very knowledgable about this sort of thing.......

currently samba serves the DHCP Ep0 card just fine, i can ping both cards 
from both nets.
