To diagnose printing problems like this I suggest you set:

print command = cp %s /tmp/print.$$ ; rm %s

then print /tmp/print.XXXX manually. That eliminates Samba from the
problem and allows you to work on your print system without involving
Samba.

Remember that Samba doens't actually know how to print. It just calls
"print command" on whatever data it is given by the client.
