problem with NT login

hi all,


i have just installed last developped version of samba by cvs in order
to have samba to act as a PDC for NTs boxs.  all the tests  in
diagnostics.txt seem to be ok.

but when i try to login from NT box with a  valid login in the smbpasswd
file , it fail with this error messages:

-in NT box i have this msg: the system account of this machine is absent
or passwd is incorrect.

-and in log file of samba server (Linux) i can see this IPC errors : 

[1999/10/23 23:53:55, 5] lib/username.c:hashed_getpwnam(267)
  ipc$ not found                                            

 and

[1999/10/23 23:53:55, 1] smbd/ipc.c:api_fd_reply(3283)
  api_fd_reply: INVALID PIPE HANDLE: 703f
[1999/10/23 23:53:55, 3] smbd/ipc.c:api_no_reply(3201)
  Unsupported API fd command                         



but when i enter a name that's not correct or a login that is not in
smbapasswd i have just a normal error that's the passwd is incorrect and
in the log file there is not any IPC errors .
