User having problems accessing net drive

I have a user trying access a network drive from Win95 to a Sun E4000
running Solaris 2.6, Samba 2.0.4 compiled with Sun Workshop. She gets,
variously, "performed an illegal operation" or simple system hangs while
trying to read/write Office 97 files (excel spreadsheet, word docs) and
the files in question are being trashed. There are a few others
experiencing similar problems.

I am going to go with an upgrade to 2.0.5, building with gcc, but if
anyone can shed some light it would be appreciated.
