Hi,
I recently upgraded from Samba 2.0.4 to Samba 2.0.6, and have had a problem
with browsing. My Sun Ultra450 (Solaris7) is controlling all aspects of
network browsing, and I had no problems before.
Occasionally, all of Network Neighbourhood will disappear. This message
appears in log.UNKNOWN in my samba logs:
[1999/12/14 15:55:27, 2] nmbd/nmbd_elections.c:send_election_dgram(47)

This will then repeat, but NN will not come back unless I stop and start
Samba.
Here are the browsing related bits of smb.conf:
os level = 65
domain master = yes
local master = yes
preferred master = yes
remote announce = 10.252.6.253 10.147.6.255
workgroup = bristol
server string = Fitter. Happier. More Productive (Samba %v)
wins support = yes
name resolve order = wins hosts lmhosts bcast
deadtime = 15
guest account = nobody
Has anyone else had problems with this? Any suggestions gratefully received.
I'm on the digest list so please cc any replies directly to me so that I get
them quicker.
Thanks,
Asa
