Doh! I could've looked a bit smarter if I'd actually taken the time to read the white paper instead of the web "cover page". One of our more technical people has pointed out to me some of the bogosities in the white paper, and newsgroup comp.protocols.smb had a rebuttal of this benchmark about a month ago (DejaNews probably still has it).
