100 % CPU consumption by smbd

Hi,

sometimes I can see that an smbd process is consuming all CPU time.
I have no Idea what the reason for that behaviour is.
We are running 18p2 on an SCO OS 5.04 on an dual Pentium PRO.

Any hints are welcome.
