Problems on AIX

We noticed a problem that we couldn't write MS-Office dokuments
with 1.9.17 on AIX (other Platforms function alright).
We noticed this when compiling with the normal AIX C-compiler.
When we compile with GCC everything works OK.
We have this one fixed yesterday and didn't had time to invest.

We also noticed that with 1.9.15p8 it was not possible to use diacretical
characters (vd| etc). With 1.9.17 this works fine. The reason for this we
don't know.
