[PATCH] Do we still need EXEEXT support?

Paul,

Stratos VOS was the only system I know of that ever needed this, but I
strongly suspect this hasn't worked for a long time (the last release on
ftp.stratos.com I see is 3.0.5).  The build farm box isn't around
either.

Please let me know if by some miracle Samba still operates on this
platform.
