Two cases:

"ldap timeout" not set: Then choose new defaults for the new
parameters. In particular, the ldap connect timeout should
be shorter.

"ldap timeout" set explicitly to something by the admin.
Then default both new parameters to what the admin set in
"ldap timeout".
