Hi,

I think it would great to have the possibility to search for substrings
in the sambaAcctFlags attribute. This would be usful to be able to find
deactivated or locked samba accounts in an LDAP directory. E.g.

(&(objectClass=sambaSamAccount)(sambaAcctFlags=*D*))

For testing I modified the definition of the attribute like this:

attributetype ( 1.3.6.1.4.1.7165.2.1.26 NAME 'sambaAcctFlags'
        DESC 'Account Flags'
        EQUALITY caseIgnoreIA5Match
        SUBSTR caseIgnoreIA5SubstringsMatch
        SYNTAX 1.3.6.1.4.1.1466.115.121.1.26{16} SINGLE-VALUE )

RFC

regards

Andreas
