Samba and Swat install question ???

I downloaded Samba Source version from samba.org website, version
samba-3.0.20.tar.gz

After running gzip and tart, then build as describe on the web site, the
build OK and also 

mention that the swat installation. after all, I check version for samba ,
it's still show the old version 

samba-3.0.10-1.4E, it could be because I did not remove the previous version
???

And when I check for swat , it said samba-swat is not install.

 

Any help, would be appreciated.

BTW. I am running RedHat EW 4.0
