Can you merge the nsswitch/ code with this?  We also have the reverse:
Samba4 being a client to Samba3's winbindd (auth_winbind uses this).
It's also an ugly hack, but as we both seem to agree that that current
winbindd interface is worth keeping in the short term, we may as well
only have one copy.
