Passwords for new machine accounts

Hi all,

to what values should the passwords of new machine accounts be set?
The command "smpasswd -a -m" sets them to the machine name. But I think
NT4 workstations will have problems with this setting when joining the
domain.
There was a default password for NT4 that was the initial password for
all NT4 workstation accounts. Does anybody remind it?
Or is it possible to join NT4 workstations without problems if the
password is set to the machine name?
