samba 3.0 and cvs checkouts on a network drive

Hi,

i've experienced serious problems, that prevent me from upgrading
to samba 3.0.0.
We're running a linux-fileserver for website-development. The
windows2000-clients have to checkout their CVS-repos on their home-share
on the samba-server.
After upgrading to samba 3.0 the cvs-process exits with a weird error:
cvs [checkout aborted]: cannot make directory cvsmodule: No such file or
directory

The whole procedure worked fine with 3.0.0beta2 and older versions
(2.2.8a, etc).

Has someone experienced the same behavior?

Thx

Andy
