Hey everyone,

In preparation for the IRC session at 3pm (GMT-6) today
on #samba-technical (irc.freenode.net), here's a summary
of the recent roadmap thread that will act as a starting
point.

The thread starts here:

Requested features Owner
- ------------------ -----

1) Proper OS/2 support with none
~ easy "workarounds" for EA's

2) libregistry api jelmer

3) Improved NT ACL system tridge

4) Integrate the framework for David.Collier-Brown
~ checking options for
~ self-consistancy

5) add reentrancy to libsmbclient Tom Jansen
~ and other improvements

6) internationalization test suite Takeda Yasuma

7) Implement GETDC and MS-CLDAP jerry
~ protocols for locating closert
~ DC

These are all realtively minor IMO. The big
discussion is whether or not Samba 4 will be the
next release or if there will be a 3.1.

Other topics will probably include how to
split resources between maintaince of Samba 3.0
and 3.1/4.

cheers, jerry
