Can you send the exact version number?  If you do ls -l on
/lib/libc.so.6 it should print out which minor version of glibc
is running.  

On my debian box it is 2.2.3:

shareholdervalue:~$ ls -l /lib/libc.so.6
   0 lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           13 Aug  1 13:22 /lib/libc.so.6 -> libc-2.2.3.so*
