Hi,

some time ago I posted a note on how a Win9X client accesses policies, etc.

This completed the puzzle for me on when and why a Win9X client accesses
the NetLogon share during a network logon.

It turns out that you can switch off the loading of policies and control
them on other ways. Much more information than you probably wanted to know
