For samba-2.1 and samba-2.2 I use command
smbpasswd -a -m TEACHER$

And I know about 2.1. But W2K JOINING TO this sambas !!!!!!
I don't know why but now 3 W2k WS working good enough for me as PDC
and fileserver. Look at this: (smbstatus)

WS torohovsky is the W2k workstation !!! I can send you smb.torohovsky
log file if you not believe me. I can use rpcclient, smbclient from
my FreeBSD box...
