The --dparam (-M) daemon option for 3.0.4.

The 3.0.x branch is only getting bugfixes, so it won't be getting this new
feature.  It is easy to turn the recent git check-in into a patch that can be
manually applied to 3.0.4pre1, though (it just needed some minor tweaks).
