Hi List I would like to name the log file in this format <filename>-<date>.log, so I use log file = /var/log/backup-`date +%e/%d/%y`.log but this does not work. Only fixed filenames work. Is filename expansion allowed in the log file option. The other way I can do it is to use log file and the post-xfer exec to rename the file after transfer. Regards Master
