Why this doesn't work??

Hi.

I can't get to work the excludes in this command:

rsync -n -a -v --delete --timeout 120 --exclude '/sys/' --exclude 
'/tmp/' --exclude '/stuff/' --exclude '/mnt/' --exclude '/proc/' 
--exclude '/var/tmp/' --exclude '/usr/portage/distfiles/' --exclude 
'/home/msurdi/.thumbnails/' gaia:/ /usr/backups/gaia.0/


The excluded dirs are still being included... what's wrong??
