I know it's not quite the question being asked but I am a heavy user
of InPrivate browsing to achieve much the same effect as you are after
within one browser.

Namely for sites that don't like you having 2 versions of them open
for copy-paste  fiddling. (I'm looking at you internal university
finance reporting tool!)
