I haven't, but I've got a chance to talk to him a fair bit at CodeCon
(http://miller.emu.id.au/pmiller/codecon/2009/index.html) and at LCA this
year.  His libexplain is a very useful thing.

Not sure that answers your questions, but he's quite approachable.
