[clug] Laptop without paying the windows tax

G'Day All,

I trying to buy a cheap laptop ($1000-$1500) to use as a portable
development machine within the next 10 days.  (I've gotta stop leaving
these things to the last minute). Unfortunaly I cannot seem to find one
that can be brought without paying the microsoft tax. Does anyone have
any suggestions as to where I can get a laptop without paying this tax ?
