[clug] samba with two windows xp clients

hi all,
i have the following set up: a samba (3.0.2a) print server on my linux
(gentoo) machine, and two windows xp clients.
both clients are able to find the printer on the network. one of them
prints test pages and pretty much everything else so far fine. the
other one, however, refuses even to print a test page with the
uninformative error "Operation could not be completed."
The error logs on the samba machine, with debug level at 2, are the
same for both client machines, and as far as i know the set up is
pretty much identical, so why the varied results ?
i am using client drivers, and they both install seemingly well when i
connect to the printer from the client machines...
in fact the only main difference is that one of the clients (the one
that doesn't work) is on a wireless connection to the network... but
its tcp/ip, dns and wins settings are all correct (and it can browse
to and find the printer... so that can't be it... can it?)

the samba logs do show some interesting messages like
"NT_STATUS_WRONG_PASSWORD" and "couldn't find service
::{2227a280-3aea-1069-a2de-08002b30309d}" but these appear on the log
for the client that prints as well as the one that doesn't...

any advice or suggestions would be appreciated :)
thanks,
ramana
