Are you sure it was discrimination? Patrons at the premiere (Aka media,
stars and celebrities) were frisked with a metal detector to make sure no-one
tried to sneak in recording devices. On that sort of precedent, staff would be
inclined to view a laptop as a potential recording device.

You may have experienced the unreasonable paranoia that is today's movie industry.
