[clug] ftp timeout

Using G4u, a disk ghosting utility the ftp s to and from a server. I 
receive an error:

421 service not available

There is a long time delay, minutes, from connect to x.x.x.x  to

220 xxxxxxxxxxxxxx FTP server (Version wu-2.6.1(1) Sun Sep 9 16:30:24 
CEST 2001) ready.
530 Please login with USER and PASS.
530 Please login with USER and PASS.
KERBEROS_V4 rejected as an authentication type


Why, and how do I speed up the process?
