Anyone had any experience with
 a D-link D100 PCI card internal modem?

Is it actually an ethernet card and modem in one
 or really a processor-hogging piece of windows only software.
 
Also, now that webone are changing,
 any current recommendations about ADSL providers?

The uni can source big downloads so something cheap,
 with a download limit of 1 Gig would be fine.

512 would be better than 256.
