[linux-cifs-client] Mandriva 2010.0 will not mount as a user, only as "nobody"

I have two machines running Mandriva Linux. One running 2008.0 and one 2010.0.
They both also run Windows XP and I need to have them write to the hard disk
of the other machine no matter what operating systems. The 2008-machine mounts
the hard disk of the 2010-machine. But I am not able to make the 2010-machine
send a request for mounting the 2008 hard disk as anything else but "nobody".
When I use the "smbpasswd" command I expect it to write in the "smbpasswd"-
file, but it only writes in the "passdb.tdb"-file.

The consequence is that "smb:/" in Dolphine does not work to contact the hard
disk and I am not allowed to write to the hard disk when mounted.

My listing in /etc/fstab on the 2010-machine is:

//MSI-kt4v/MSI-kt4v_M_F /mnt/MSI-kt4v/Mine_Filer cifs
umask=0,noauto,user,credentials=/etc/samba/auth.MSI-kt4v,uid=10001 0 0

Do you have some idea of what the problem might be? If there is a better forum
for my problem on the Internet, please let me know.

Sincerely,

Ole Reier Ulland
