[linux-cifs-client] cifs directory disconnected - timeout? idle? notify?

Dear gurus,

I have a Linux cifs mount to a Windows 2003 machine.

On the Linux machine, I also have a JAVA program that looks through all
directories on the mounted directory.
However, the JAVA program wouldn't list any new directory I created on the
Windows 2003 machine UNTIL after I do a 'ls' command on the newly created
directory on Linux. Apparently the 'ls' trigger some notification to cifs
and it refreshes the mount point.

Is there something I need to do on the Windows side? Can I config cifs to
never timeout?

I googled for 6 hours still no idea. Any brilliant idea?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Royce
