Thanks. I just sibscribed to this list, and for some reason list
messages do not reach my computer. Thanks for Cc-ing your message to
me.
I appreciate your suggestion. For home (where I only need read only
access), I simply created a new user account smbuser 20 minutes ago.
For another situation where I need read/write access (and thusly to
map users to the same unix userid as the guest account), my approach
would not work.
As for that Map statement, it is a nice one.
But can you tell me, is the new Samba broken? What is going on? Is
this a known problem? Is anyone working on it?
I will appreciate a Cc: as mailing list messages seem to be lost.
