[jcifs] HP-Ux offers time-out under heavy load

Hi,

I just wanted to post a problem related to jcifs used under HP-Ux. 
First of all just make clear that the problem is not due to jcifs but 
to HP-UX in PA-RISC and itanium.

When more than 50 users (lets say threads) access a certain file, after 
a while the java InputStream(related to the socket in use) gets blocked 
when calling the read method, then Jcifs reacts firing Time-out 
exceptions. 

The problem seems to be in the HP-Ux java VM 1.2.4_06. and the same was 
tested under Solaris, linux and windows and no problem occurred. I have 
posted the problem to HP dev.
